Question Raspy/Phlegm Cough in One Year Old

This is the first time my daughter has been "sick" in her life. She feels fine, but she kind of has this raspy/maybe some phlegm type cough that developed when she was sleeping last night. There is nothing else wrong with her. I am the type to not start giving her Tylenol and different meds, however, what are some other things I can do? I have a humidifier, and baby Vicks rub. Are there any other alternatives for medicine in the organic isles that anyone knows of? This is my only child and the first time I dealt with this, thanks.

Is it barky? A barky cough needs to be seen ASAP.

Cool, moist night air is good for standard croupy coughs. Otherwise, a sure fire way to clear it up is to run the shower as hot as you can, close the door, and sit in the bathroom with her. She'll probably cough a bunch of stuff up. Repeat for 10-15 minutes a few times a night. Don't keep her too moist, though, cause it could settle into pneumonia.

My 15mo dd has a raspy cough and the doctor told me this morning that she has laryngitis. I'm just giving her lots of fluids as her throat will be very dry and irritable.

I actually got her some Hylands Homeopathic Cough Remedy and it seems to have worked for her. It was very mild, mainly in the evenings and now she seems better, thanks.
