| Re: 6.5 month old doesn't want cereal or veggies
Picky eating can be a sign of allergies.
My son had a lot of food he would eat then refuse after about the second of third time. Allergies.
If you or you husband have allergies.. environmental.. food allergies are just as possible. A baby isn't going to want to eat anything that makes their throat itch or body feel bad. This is a natural response.
Six months is too young for allergy testing, but you can give benedryl and see if it helps things.
We have the wonderful: Nut, Banana, Strawberries, Mushrooms, Wheat, Iodine (Sea Food), coconut, yeast.. and I can not think of some of the others right now. Go slow introducing real food. Some babies are texturally sensitive as well. My son went from milk to the occasional fruit puree to very small pieces of well cooked food. He hated goo and slimy things.. it is his father version 2.0.
Needless to say it takes time for their body to make the transition from a liquid diet to a solid one... take your time and keep a food log. This food was introduced on ____. Reaction Favorable.. etc.
Best of luck with the greatest life experiment.. raising kids.
Sincerely,
MG
