why my baby sweat so much while he is sleeping

why my baby sweats so much while he is sleeping? Is it caused by lack of VitD? How much should he take daily?

Re: why my baby sweat so much while he is sleeping

Do you put him in heavy pajamas? Do you wrap him up or put him in a wearable blanket or blanket sleeper? Sometimes if I put DS in pajamas that are too heavy he'll sweat while he sleeps. Try putting you baby to sleep in just a onsie or a light weight footed sleep & play and see if that helps with the sweating. I've never heard anything about vitamin D being related to an overproduction of sweat. And as far as how much daily, as long as he's on breastmilk or formula he's getting plenty. There's no need to supplement.

I agree with anhyre about the dressing. I also have never heard of the Vit D causing that either. I personally think it has to do a lot with the crib mattress. They are vinyl and God knows that makes you sweat.

I agree - your little one may be too bundled up at night. Depending on what you have the temperature on in the house, warm pj's may be too much. In the beginning, I bundled my daughter up and she would sweat like crazy - even though everyone told me to dress her warm, I finally caught on that she was a warm baby and preferred lighter pj's or even a onesie.
