How hot is too hot? - Infant Care (up to 18 months old) Message Board

My DS is 17 months old and loves being outside. If he's inside for more than an hour he cant stand it. I dont have a car so on really hot days I still have to bring him outside to wait for busses in order to get anywhere far. What I want to know is at his age do I have to worry about having him out in really hot weather? We get alot of smog alerts where I'm from aswell.

He might have a temper tantrum about being hot but as long as you keep him hydrated he should be fine. The more water the better. and remember that nothing quenches thirst like water.
