Could this be from a shot?

My daughter got her 12 month old immunizations on July 7th. She received four....the Hep A, Hep B, Polio and Chicken Pox vacs. She had absolutely no reaction at all, not even a bruise. A few days ago, we noticed that she had developed a really hard red lump on her thigh. At first, my MIL thought maybe she had been bitten by a spider or something. I didn't think much of it as it didn't seem to hurt her or anything. Then the more I got to thinking about it, I realized that it's in pretty much the same spot that she got two of her immunizations. This morning, it doesn't seem nearly as red, almost more of like a light bruise but it's still really hard. Again, she still doesn't make any mention when I touch and acts as though it's not bothering her at all. I am still concerned and not sure what to think. Could this be from her immunizations? I thought it just seemed weird that it would show up this long after she received them (11 days ago) but I do remember her pedi saying a few things when she received them. Mainly about the Chicken Pox vaccination. He said that around 10-20 days some children might have a reaction, but all I remember him saying was that it could be in the form of actually having a small case of Chicken Pox. I don't recall him saying anything about the actual area where the shot was given. Also, I read all of the info that he gave me on the immunzations and it did say that with the Polio vaccine that some will develop a sore spot, but it doesn't say how long after. I wasn't sure, it just seems to me that if that were the case it would've happened a lot sooner. I am going to call the pedi's office today but just wanted to know what you all think????

Re: Could this be from a shot?

I remember mine getting a lump after a shot. Call the ped., but I'm sure that's what it is.

Re: Could this be from a shot?

Yeah, I figured that too, it's just weird because she had no lump or even bruise after the shot. It's been 12 days since she had the actual shots and the lump appeared just a few days ago. I did end up calling her pedi and while they said that they wouldn't call it normal, they also said it's not unheard of either. They said as long as it doesn't have red streaks coming from it and doesn't get worse, then to just keep an eye on it. I also noticed a few red spots on her and had my mom look at them. She said the look just like Chicken Pox to her, so I am pretty sure she is having a small reaction to that vaccine.

Re: Could this be from a shot?

Tanner got a mild fever exactly a week from the date he had his year shots. It's weird that it takes so long for the reaction to show it's face. I hope little Ella's bump goes away and she feels better!

Re: Could this be from a shot?

Thanks E! Yeah, her bump is getting better every day and now more looks like a light bruise. It is strange that it takes so long for them to get a reaction. Ella usually does fine with shots and only actually got a fever from them one time.
