| Re: Any suggestions for "finger foods" ?
The first finger food my son had was the Gerber Wagon Wheels. He's allergic to the puffs, so these were pretty much the only option. They're too big for them to really get the whole thing in their mouth and even if they do, its not going to go down far enough to choke. So, they pretty much have to gnaw on them and let them dissolve. He got these around 7-8 months old and they were about the only finger food he got for a couple months. Then we advanced to things like Gorilla Munch Cereal (like KIX), Beech Nut Table Time fruit dices, diced chicken, diced vegetables, small pieces of rice bread, etc. Really, once they get down the idea of chewing (even without teeth), then you can give them anything cut into appropriate size pieces. My son didn't have any teeth when he started on finger food and only 1 when we branched out to all tables foods instead of purees and finger foods.
