| 6 weeks old....14 pounds!!!
Does that seem crazy to anyone else? My ds was born weighing 7lbs 13ozs. He is now 6 weeks old today and at 5 and a half weeks old, he weighed nearly 14 pounds! To me, that seems ridiculously big. He seems to do nothing but eat. I have had a couple of problems post pardum and have been on meds twice now for infections related to my delivery and it has affected my milk production since I've had to pump and dump so much, so I've had to supplement with formula. He is eating about 5 to 6 ounces every few hours at most. Sometimes he is acting hungry after an hour, but I make him wait cause he can't possibly be hungry after all that eating!!! If I can't get him to calm down, I'll give him another 2 ounces....which then makes it 7 to 8 ounces in an hour! I know cereal isn't recommended until at least 4 months, but does anyone else have any suggestions on what I can do??? It seems to me like he is eating way too much, too often. Maybe I'm crazy and this is normal? I just don't remember my other 2 kids eating like this. Although, they are now almost 10 and 15 years old....so maybe I just don't remember because it's been so many years!
