hi there i have been on these boards before but with diff name
my dh and i had our baby girl born premature in november she spent some time in nicu just over the last month or so we have noticed that her hands and feet get very blue even when she is wrapped up ,
has anyone else experienced this with a preterm baby please help

Blue as in she is cold? I believe preemies have poor circulation so their extremities (spelling?) might get bluish. But, I am no doctor and my son was only 6 weeks premature. Have you asked your doctor? I would definitely call the pediatrician and ask.

nope not cold although she does have problems controlling her temp too a mottled look to the skin and blue hands and feet ,spoke to the doctor and they say they need to check her heart and lungs
she was also 6 weeks premature.

My baby was 5 weeks early and we had this happen a few times. I called the doctor each time and she was fine. She does tend to get cold easily too and she will turn blueish. We keep a close eye on it; however, she's been okay. I would have your doctor check out your baby to be careful.
