My DD is 17 Months old. I wanted to wait as long as possible to get her MMR since there is so much controversy about it. I wanted to hold off until after she was 18M old since that's the age my husband and I both got it according to our records from our parents. But my daycare realized she didn't have it, and basically told me to get it or she couldn't come back. So off to the doctor we went. They told me she could get a fever from it up to 10 days later. She doesn't have a fever, but she was been unbearable last night and this morning. (She went to daycare after her shot yesterday). Daycare said she had been whiney. She was extremely whiney last night, and this morning she was crying for no reason. I don't know. I didn't think the MMR would cause any sort of pain. Maybe it's just coincidence. Anyone else expereince this? She has never had any reaction to immunizations in the past. So of course the one I worried myself sick about, causes her to be fussy. She is at daycare now and I haven't heard anything. Fingers crossed. Oh, the worries of motherhood.
We held off omn the MMR til 18 months....she had it about 10 days ago, and all of a sudden the lymph node behind her right ear is extremely swollen. The Dr said there is no reason to be overly worried, but that is much easier said than done.

There are vaccine exemptions, there is no daycare or school that can force you to get vaccines. Please educate yourself about this for future reference. Vaccines are toxic, neurotoxic and one size fits all. People with autoimmune disease for example, need to steer clear of them because the toxins can deteiorate their condition. Do not let anyone, let alone a daycare bully you into getting the shot. They gave no education about immunity and infectious dieseases, biology, or neuroscience.

This isn't true. There are 2 states (forgive me, I can't recall which ones at the moment--I'll be back with them though ) where exemption from vaccinations isn't an option. You can post-pone them, but you cannot be exempt.
ETA: The states are Mississippi and West Virginia.

If that is true it is really unfortunate because vaccines are a one size fits all kind of deal and what happens to the people who are allergic reactions to eggs or the chemicals in the vaccines? They are forced to get them anyway? Did you know those who have autoimmune diseases deteroriate many times when these toxins from the vaccines are shot into their system? There is something EXTREMELY WRONG with that. West Virginia and Mississippi have a medical exemption option.
