Re: how can i get my 17 month old to drink water

Give him/her a sippy cup of water and just leave it out all day for them to sip on. My 15-month old twins love water and would rather have it than milk. Their cups are always available and they can drink whenever they want to.

Sometimes something as simple as a new cup will encourage them to drink water. My ds likes it (2.5yo), but only out of a certain cup.

Try giving it in a regular glass, that is what we did and my daughter got a big kick out of it. Was a little messy at first. Just start off with small sips.
