If it's going to work, you'll know. Both of my boys have had to be on meds for acid reflux. My youngest DS, currently 9 months old, is on Prevacid. We tried Zantac first, but there was no improvement. We then moved on to Prevacid, 1/2 15 mg tablet once a day. There was no improvement on that. Then we doubled his dosage to 1/2 15 mg tablet twice a day. About five days later, we had a different baby. You'll know if it's working. The difference is like night and day - seriously. If it's been five days and you haven't seen any improvement, I would guess that it's not working. It may take a dosage increase like my DS or something else all together. Good luck!
