I don't know anything about it, but wikipedia says it can be fixed with an operation, best if done while the kiddo is 6-12 months old: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Craniosynostosis
Basically it's a problem where two of the bones in the baby's skull are fused before they're supposed to be, so the head can't grow correctly with the brain. The surgery just separates the bones to let them expand and grow the way they're supposed to be.
