my 15 month old son had 3 vaccines on a friday,saturday he was in a full blown febrile seizure with a temp of 104.4.He stopped breathing turned blue and had very faint pulse.i started cpr as my husband called 911.the hospital acted as if nothing had happened yet stated:he would have died had you not done cpr".sent us home.monday back at er for elevated temp.once again sent home.he still runs the temp 2 days later.what can i do?im absolutely frightened for my sons life with this temp and seizure.

Yes, the fever will go away within a few more days at the most. According to my mother, I ran a high fever for 3 days after my shots, too. Keep dosing with Motrin and Tylenol, keep monitoring his temperature, and call the doctor again if it goes much over 104, lasts more than a week, or if he vomits repeatedly and has trouble keeping down liquids.
Febrile seizures are scary, but usually not harmful or serious in the long run. Until he reaches school age, just watch him when he gets a fever.

Thank you so much!!!I appreciate you taking the time to try and help.Eased my mind a little.One more question,they said to do the alternating of meds which im doing.How ill i ever know if its gone if i continue to give it around the clock?im afraid if i stop the meds it will spike and he'll go into another seizure.

seizures have stopped.pediatrician said it was from his shots.well his temp just jumped to 103.1??????his shots were 8 das ago,last seizure was a week ago today but fever just spiked.no symptoms of anything else.

A vaccine reaction shouldn't last this long, and it shouldn't go away and come back like that. Definitely call the pediatrician again, it might be he has a virus or something.
