Elevated ASO Titer, re-occuring rash, and a negative strep culture

I am 30 years old and for the past 2 or 3 years, every time I get a sinus infection or cold I get a baby fine strep looking rash all over my torso and my upper arms. I frequently get tested for strep (culture) bc my doctor thinks thats what it is. It has always come back negative-but I get antibiotics anyway. I saw a new doctor this past week and she suggested that I get an ASO drawn. My aso was 277, but I had 2 different strep tests and both were negative. I have an appt with an infectious disease Doc, but I am so frustrated...what could this be? I don't have achy joints, I have had an echocardiogram in the last year and it was fine.
