Since September Ive had a constant low temperature & recurrent fevers. Ive also had problems with dizziness & balance that for the first 3 months or so was attributed to an inner ear problem. The fevers were attributed to a low immune system following 2 ear and 1 suspected inner ear infection. Ive been to see an ENT who said he believes I did have an inner ear infection but my other symptoms represent something else. He suggested I be referred to hemotology or oncology. My GP however has referred me to infectious diseases instead (which I personally think makes more sense). Ive been given antibiotics numerous times since September & they seem to work a little bit..they dont make me feel 100% but they definately take the edge off. Then after i finish the course whatever I have resurfaces within 3-4 days.

Apart from the recurrent fevers & constant low temp my symptoms consist of:

Ears
-Itching inside ears

-Significant increase in ear wax

-Feeling of fluid trickling inside ears.

-Occasional earache

-Occasional ringing in ears & occasional partial deafness (blocked ears)

Eyes
-Blurred vision (intensity varies)

-Difficulty focusing eyes on objects – objects often appear to move/distort/jump

Other
-Constant spaced out/lightheaded/drunk feeling. Feels like I am dreaming.

-Episodes of intense, sudden lightheadedness (feeling like I will faint) Afterwards accompanied by shaking/shivering.

-Episodes of intense, sudden vertigo (almost always spinning but sometimes 'falling' or feeling like my head is being rapidly pushed back & forward, or rocking sensation)

-Difficulty remembering things, concentrating, thinking clearly. Confusion

-Pressure feeling in head and ears (not constant)

-Thoughts/mind feel disorganised and 'not right' since beginning of illness

-Tiredness

-Feeling ill/lightheaded after attempted light exercise

-Difficultly swallowing

-Tightness in chest. Often feel as though breathing is restricted and like I'm not breathing right

-Occasional and sudden muscle weakness. Also frequent muscle/nerve spasms (feels like fluttering)

-Palpitations (when at rest or during the night), aching chest (usually during night), drop or flutter feeling in chest.

-Muscle twitches in face (usually jaw/mouth area)

-Recently started with joint pain in fingers, knuckles, wrists..this also hurts firth thing in the morning.

-Dull pain in right side of stomach with light bruising & swelling.

I think a lot of these symptoms are probably from my inner ear troubles (this is the list I showed the ENT) but just seeing if anyone had any suggestions or if they represent any infectious diseases.

Ive also had lower abdominal pain on and off for about a month which my GP thinks could be something like pelvic imflamatory disease so getting checked for that next week..although its probably unrelated.
