Recently I had a romantic interlude with a woman. We engaged in a lot of deep kissing but no intercourse. Anyway, since that time, she quit our relationship. Shortly after that kissing interlude, I started feeling this itch inside my mouth and on my tongue. I asked her about this and she has refused to answer my concerns. The doctor has not been able to figure it out. What should I do? I am afraid of having picked up an STD or major disease passed on to me and am scared. I've been on doxycycline from a doctor but no clearing up of this problem.
There is really no STI which matches the description you give. Who put you on doxycycline and why?
An important question for you though: were you afraid of an STI BEFORE you felt any mouth itching? In other words, had the thought of an STI crossed your mind before you got symptoms?
I was not worried about it but when I texted her and she raised the issue of disease, I got admittedly worried. A doctor put me on this medicine but as I said, it does not seem to work.
