My white blood and neutrophils counts keep going up. I have joint and muscle pain. What could this be? I'm waiting for more blood test results. Has anyone had this? I'm worried.
A raised white cell count means that you have an infection, probably a bacterial infection.
They would also need to check what your Sed rate and CRP levels are and maybe take blood cultures if you have a fever to see if they can isolate the organism.
The other possibility is that it could be some kind of auto immune disease. As you are complaining of joint and muscle pain, it may be something like Juvenille Arthritis, but you need to wait on the tests before jumping to any conclusions.

Sometimes your white cell count as a whole maybe slightly raised and that is within the physiological limits of normal. However, if it is significantly raised, then this is a response to infection of some kind and needs to be investigated further.
Yes, my doctor has done more bloodwork, but I'm still waiting to hear. I have a slight fever (??) 99.2 during mid-day. Have you had similar symtoms for a bacterial infection? Should I worry about endocarditis?
