Unhappy Does Anyone Have An Idea of What This Could Be?

I had a high white count and neutrophils (infection fighter). After a few weeks, my doctor said my counts are normal. He also checked for infection in kidney/liver. Everything came back fine. I still have daily muscle/joint pain. It has been over a month. What should I be tested for?

You could consider being tested for Mono. If it has been going on for that long, then it is possible that you have it.

Other than that and if your white cell count has gone back to normal, then there is not a lot that can be tested for. If your white cell count has returned to normal, then you obviously had an infection, which has now cleared and you are just suffering the after effects. I know a month is a long time, but it is possible that you have post viral fatigure syndrome that is making you feel like this and all you can do for this is rest. It can continue for longer than a month though.

Anyway, in the meantime try getting tested for mono just to see and be on the safe side. Either way, it is a waiting game too, as their is no treatment for mono either, except plenty of rest.

YOu could have lupus(which is not contagious) or you could also have Lyme Disease or Rocky Mountain spotted fever which is spread by creepy crawlies outside. YOu should be tested for these three things...in the meantime rest, chill out and try not to worry about it.

Thank You. I also have a mild temp rise (not a fever). 99.2-99.5 during the day. Is this significant?

No. A low grade fever is nothing to get particularly excited about, however, it could just mean that you have a low grade infection going on.

For lupus, you would need to have what is known as an ANCA test. This is an autoimmune disease.

Good luck
