Smile Male Yeast Infection

well i visited numoruos sites checking on male yeast infections.... i found some pictures and that looks exactly like what i have... i was told to buy some yeast infection cream...didnt work...so i bought some monistate 7 and that sorta cleared it up but when i get hard i can still see the yeast infection sometimes. SO im wondering is this really a yeast infection or is this something else? i treated for the yeast infection and it went away for a while and now the thing is back.... what do i do?

How long did you use the cream for? Do you have a sexual parner? There is alot of debate about whether yeast ifections can be passed through sexual intercouse, some say yes, some say no. Is it possible that your sexual partner has this and is reinfecting you or visa versa?

This may sound obvious, but change your underwear frequently and stay away from tight pants for awhile.

For awhile, I though I had a yeast infection going on. The skin on my ***** would be red, and there appeared to be yeast around my foreskin.
My doctor gave me some prescription creams which seemed to work for a few days, but then the problem would come right back.

After a few months, I figured I either had the most incredibly resistant strains of yeast living on me, or the problem was being caused by something else.

I decided to see if it had something to do with my lfiestyle. I started bycutting out all of the foods I would normally eat and went on a very bland diet (rice, toast, banana's, etc.). I also began to get more fresh air and excerising more, drinking more water and getting more sleep.

After about 2 weeks, I found my "infection" had gone away on its own. I then began introducing foods back into my diet. I was fine with almost everything except for....mushrooms! Yup, I used to eat handfuls of mushrooms and loved them. But for whatever reason, I reacted to them (and actually still do).

A few people I've spoken with theorize that it's because they are a fungus and that I react to that.

Anyhow, I've cut out mushrooms, and I also eat less sugars and drink alot less beer (yeasty and sugary foods are cut back, just in case).

So take a look at your diet. Do you eat a lot of one type of food? IF no, try cutting out everything then slowly introducing it back in.
Good luck!

The guy above was on the right track but missing a few ingrediants....here are some specifics....

First, most people do not realize that all yeast infections originate in the COLON, and so that is where they need to be attacked. You need to go on an anti-candida diet and take a high-quality probiotic supplement like Primal Defense (available at any Vitamin Shoppe or online). There is lots of detailed info available on anti-candida diets, but the general rule of thumb as the above poster mentioned is to cut out or seriously curtail all forms or sugar, fermented food (like alcohol, vinegar), yeast-containing foods like breads and cakes, and all fungi. Do this for about 2-3 weeks while taking the probiotic (which is necessary to both kill the yeast and to give your colon the good bacteria that the yeast has destroyed).

That is the only way to truly eradicate the yeast, otherwise if you just treat the symptoms were they are locally occuring, they will just keep coming back and most likely getting worse too. Trust me, I have been through this, and successfully.
