| post viral?
Hi all,
I had a very bad cold for a week. A week later I got burning paresthesia in both feet for a few hours. The next day I had paresthesia in random areas, along with stabbing sharp pains. These pains are the main concern, and are all over, but especially in the legs. I have also been getting muscle cramps and muscle pain the past two weeks, and very abrupt leg and arm jerks (but always just one, never like fasciculations). I saw a neurologist, and all neuro testing was fine. No signs of anything sinister, though i am still going to get an MRI to be safe (can't get in until january). The neuro Dx was a that it was all a result of a virus, and should clear in a few months. Is this possible, for a virus to get into your spinal cord/cortex and cause these odd sensory problems. I'm on Neurontin for the pain and paresthesia. Anyone else have a post viral experience or advice? thanks. new here.
