Epstein-Barr Virus Panel? Houston area?
A few months ago I had a mono screen done when I was very sick. They told me the results indicated a chronic infection. I couldn't locate an infectious disease specialist that would see me in Houston with my insurance. I was hospitalized, stabalized, etc... got better... but lost my insurance and job because of the whole thing :P
Well now I been feeling LIKE THAT again. I am wondering if it is the EBV virus still in me causing a problem. I need to go to a specialist and find out even if I have to pay out of pocket. I can't work like this. I am NEED to be job-hunting because I NEED health insurance and a paycheck but I am too fatigued to go anywhere about 75% of the time. Blehhhh
Does anyone know specifics about these results I had from the EBV panel I had done. My PCP knew NOTHING. I don't want to waste money on another (I went to a few) doc that is going to misdiagnose me. Are these results something I should be concerned with and if so... Anyone know a good doc experienced with such things in or near Houston, TX?
