Hi - new here - c.diff now h.pylori

On March 23, 2010 I was diagnosed with c.diff. C.diff (mine anyway) is caused by taking antibiotics and destroying the good flora in your stomach. Makes you VERY sick....after 26 days of strong antibiotics it is testing as negative...now, I have a gnawing in my stomach area and have tested + for h.pylori. The treatment for h.pylori is a lot of antibiotics....unsure of what to do....anyone else had this situation?

Re: Hi - new here - c.diff now h.pylori

My mom had h-pylori, sometimes the first rounds of antibiotics don't work, and you may need two or three rounds of them. You need to keep being tested to make sure the h-pylori goes away, don't let the doctors tell you that it's gone after one round, like they did to Mom, I insisted she be re-tested, and she still had it, but now it's gone after she had two rounds of antibiotics.

If you have a partner, you may have transmitted it, so even if you get rid of it,
if a partner is infected, you may get reinfected. We had Mom's boyfriend tested for h-pylori, but he didn't have it.

I just wanted to relate my experience with Mom's h-pylori to you, I don't know anything about c-diff.

Good Luck.
