Gastroenteritis and blood work

Hi, I'm 30 years of age... I got severely ill around noon yesterday. Violent vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pains. I went to the ER for the severe fluid loss and they ran some bloodwork, ordered a cat scan.. the cat scan showed zero inflammation, only evidence for diarrhea. That was all it showed.

My complete blood count is what I don't understand... the doctor never commented on my blood work...

But my white count was 14.7 (4-11)
neutrophils 91 (40-75%)
lymphocytes 6 (20-48%)
Abs Neutrophils 13.4 H

The doctor diagnosed me with viral gastroenteritis.

Does this diagnosis coincide with the high white count and high neutrophils, low lymphocytes? I didn't have this high of a white count with appendicitis! I wasn't vomiting and with severe diarrhea with the appendicitis though but yesterday I certainly experienced all of that and more.

So should I not worry about these labs? They coincide with the viral gastroenteritis? Thanks.
