Controlling Recurent Staph

If you get recurent staph infections, you probably have a colony of staph living somwhere on your body, the most common places are in the nostrils, in the armpits, or the ano-genital region.

The way to de-colonise your self is as follows:

Use Hibiclens in the shower instead of soap every day for 2 weeks. Tip a little into the hands and lather up under the arms and around the anogenital region and between your legs. Tip a bit onto a new shower puff, and use that to later up all over the body. leave on for 60 seconds, then rinse. Finaly, tip a little into the hands and wash the face.

Do this every day for 2 weeks

To deal with staph in the nostrils, use a cotton bud to smear Neosporin ointment around the inside of the nostrils as deeply as you comfortably can, then squeeze the nostrils together to coat all of the insides evenly.

Do this twice a day for 2 weeks.

This should have goten rid of your little visitors for good, if you want to take some extra insurance, using an antibacterial soap (such as Dial or Safeguard) in the shower every day long term instead of normal soap can be helpful.
