| partial calcanectomy
Joe--52 yrs, 5'9 male NJ 290 lbs-Type 2 diabetic-currently taking 75/25 humolog & kombiglyze
June '09 - ER- heel bone exposed after cutting lawn/diabetic ulcer left heel/-Ouch
osteomylitus- 6 weeks IV, bedridden -wound Vac
transfered to wound ctr- 6 more weeks IV (Vanco) MRSA...still bedridden
Oct 2010..partial calcanectomy...non wt bearing for sev months
antibiotics...
Mar 2011 wound looked really good almost closed ...Now using walker and Minimal walking with a pad/sponge in regular sneak. psuedomonos (green tint on bandage)
March 2012 wound is size of silver dollar about a fingers length away from heel but looks Really Healthy
has anyone gone thru similar experience? how long did it take befor u got back to normal walking
