Well, I'm here! The lap went well from what I understand. When I got into recovery, I remember the doc saying he was going to talk to my dh. When I told them I was ready to go to my room, I asked dh if he spoke to the doc and he said no. Well then one of the nurses said that they crossed in the hall! Just my luck! So dh went down 2 times to see the doc - but he was in surgery doing a total hysterctomy! (however you spell it!)
My dh, since he works at the Naval base (not the hospital, but he taught all of my Corpsmen *nurses* that were taking care of me)was able to get a look at my chart and found that I do have mild endometriosis (although, we don't know what the doc did - if anything) and it said something else, but dh couldn't read it. I have 2 insisions. One in my navl and one about 4 inches below that. The one in my naval is hurting this morning! The other doesn't feel too bad, as long as my undee's dont rub against it!
It was a rough day!!! As I sit here and type, I see its going to be another rough day - as I'm getting light headed!
I was discharged around 11:30 yesturday - and they wheeled me to the pharmacy for drugs - I told the Corpsman and dh that I felt like I was going to get sick. Dh said "No your not." Then I said I was going to pass out. And with that, I remember little things and then being back in my room I had just left!!! I was there for another hour - as I layed down for a bit and then sat up for a bit... and then felt that I was ready to go.
Dh was great! He was absolutely great! I was holding down foods (hell, all I ate yesturday was 2 saltines, & some dry cereal). Then dh goes to make dinner... as I told him chicken sounded REALLY good. So, he made up some chicken, parm. noodles, green beans.... smelled good - Until I looked at it and smelled it together with sitting up at the table... I about lost it! I moved back to the couch and layed down - Dh was GREAT - he cut up some chicken and gave me some noodles and beans. The only thing I couldn't stomach was the beans! I was SO hungry!
My sister and mom are angry with me - due to the fact that I was not concerned yesturday about not talking with the doc. HEY -- I was under the influence of some good drugs!!! They have to cut me some slack!!!!! I may try to call him this morning... who knows.
THANK YOU SO much Rachel for your well wishes!!! I really appreciate them. I did tell dh about your "bell" idea - he laughed and then looked at me like yeah - right! Yesturday though, we got here and I asked for some water and for my wedding ring - when he came back in - he acted as if he was ringing a bell!!! Too funny. But I told him to stop - cuz it hurts to laugh!!! Sleeping was another issue - hurts to roll over - you don't realize how many stomach muscles or abdomen muscles that you use when doing that until it hurts!!!!!
