Could desperately use some advise! My OB/GYN has recommended I see a RE regarding infertility as I have been trying to conceive for a year, am 37 yrs old and have been battling some type of immune dysfunction (connective tissue disorder). My OB/GYN recommends a center dedicated to infertility given centers have a vast number of resources available to them. Given the complexity of my situation, can anyone recommend a really good RE (reproductive endocrinologist) who also possesses good bed side manner? It's so hard to make head or tails of the options and doctors available. If a 'best' doctor doesn't have availablity for 3 months while a 'good' doctor has availability sooner, should I wait for the 'best' doctor? Timing seems to be important given my age but I don't want to make a mistake. Also, infertility centers are group practices and I worry that if there is a 'best' doctor at one of these centers but the other doctors in the practice are unkwown (and who will be doing procedures based on schedule), do I take a chance and go to that center? I assume that if their success rates are good, that that should provide me with some assurance of the practice in general but I can't help but worry. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. This is all new to me.
