Unhappy Uterine lining STILL too thin

I went in today for bloodwork and u/s on day 12 of my IUI cycle and my uterine lining is just way too thin. It is still measuring at 3.6mm, which is exactly what it was 2 days ago. Even after estrogen, it's still too thin. My doctor is supposed to call later, but the nurse said she wonders if we'll even do the IUI this month. One nurse said she's heard of someone getting pregnant with a lining at 5mm ("normal" is usually 8-10 minimum at ovulation), but not at 3. Thanks. On a happy note, my lead follicle is doing great at 25mm. Only problem is I don't have anything for it to implant in, even if it fertilized...sigh...
Just wanted to vent a little.
Here's another question...I've been doing reading on the internet about different infections that women can have that can cause infertility and may not cause any other symptoms (like Chlamydia, or a clostridial infection). Has anyone ever been tested for these? I haven't been tested in like 10 years, just had my reg. pap smears, and my hubby and I are obviously exclusive, but who knows what we could have and not know it? My doctor has never run these tests, so I was just wondering if it's routine with anyone else's RE or Ob/gyn. I'm seeing an RE and would hope he's being as thorough as possible.

Re: Uterine lining STILL too thin

I'm sorry to hear about your uterine lining. Mine was 7mm at IUI and my RE had me take Estrodiol, and fortunately that thickened it up (I'm 12 wks pg now). I think I would listen to your doc's advice, whatever that may be.

As far as the other tests, I'm not sure if my RE tested for that sort of thing either. If you don't have a hx of STDs, it may not be standard protocol. They did test me for it at my 11 wk pg exam (they took like 4 or 5 vials of blood).

Good luck and hang in there... obstacles will happen, I'm afraid.
