clomid? - Infertility Message Board

Hi ladies! How are all of you? I was wondering if anyone could explain clomid to me because i am going to ask the doctor about this on my first visit. I have no cycle with out BCP's. I think u have to take it right after ur cycle but if u have to have BCP's to have a cycle then how can u concieve? Do you take one pill everyday of the month? Has clomid worked for anyone else on the board? I have lots more questions but im not going to bore you all with the questions game.

I have a similar situation-- no period unless on BCP-- my doctor has chosen a Provera/Clomid Rx for me. Basically the Provera I take for 10 days and it makes AF come. Then days 5-9 I take the clomid, which is supposed to make me ovulate. Your doctor may recommend something similar.

If you tell your Dr that you want to concieve they will take you off the BC and put you on Provera (progesterone). I am on Provera and I NEVER have my period unless I am taking it. I also finished my last pill of Clomid last week. No ovulation yet.
