well i have a confession and i am sorry i havnt told any of you but now i trust you all it usually takes me a while to tell someone but the reason why i dont want to get a semen test for my DH is because he is from el salvador and not legal in the US. I dont think that he can go to the doctor with me .... im not sure i am going to talk to the doctor about it when i see him. I know that the problem is with me because of my PCOS but im not really sure what to do. i am just real nervous and dont want that to effect us having a baby. I know probably none of you are in this situation but i need some advice because i dont know who to talk to without them looking down upon me or him

can't you just drop off the semen?

My clinic will let you drop it off. You can go by and pick up all the paperwork before hand and then just bring it back. Say your husband has a meeting or something...

Hey Lauren, I'm sorry that you fear being looked down upon. I don't feel that way about you or your DH.

As far as having your DH's SA - do they ask about citizenship at the dr. office?
Maybe there is a nonprofit or advocacy group that deals with immigration issues that could give you some advice.

I'm sorry that I don't have any other suggestions. I really hope you figure this whole thing out.

no they dont look at legal status but they do need a social security number and medical history which he doesnt have in the us. i think i will ask about dropping it off. ladies thanks for the advice i appreciate it more than you know..... STCIKY BABYDUST TO ALL OF US

Hi Lauren, what a horrible stress for you - and on top of everything else you poor thing! Please never worry about being judged for ANYTHING on here - if I saw a mean post to you I would go CRAZY

I am sorry I have no advice as I am not in the US and don't know the implications, but an advice bureau sounds a good idea i think. I hope you work it out honey and get your bfp very soon.
