hi im linda im 39 my hubbie is 37 i had a tubal 14 years ago from a previous marriage and now we would like a baby, go for my first appt. in a couple of months, what will it be like ??

Probably need some more info from you to give you any advice ~ did you have any tests already on your egg production or DH's sperm sample? Are you ovulating? Do you know your cycle length? Have you had any hormone testing at all yet? If the 'only' history you have if a tubal (I don't mean that lightly, I have had 2 in the past 18 months so I know how horrible it is) then you are in with a good shot of a quick pg I hope!! Have you been actively TTC for sometime already? Are you BBT or poas for ovulation? If you are a complete beginner I can definitely recommend some reading material, but I suspect you are a little further along if you already made an RE appointment?
If you want to give some more info you will I am sure find people on here in almost exactly the same boat....we have all kinds on IF around so you can get all the answers and good advice you need

I, like eurokel, can't really answer your question cherie, until you give us some more details, like if there is any more in your history, any conditions like hypothyroid, PCOS or anything male factor.

I just wanted to say 'hi' and welcome you. I'm sorry that you have experienced loss before - a lot of us here have and can relate. But, I'm so happy that you are ready to start ttc again. At my first RE appt. the dr. mainly asked a lot of questions about our medical histories and my menstrual cycle. We also scheduled a S/A for DH and an u/s for me that happened a few days later. Let us know how your appt goes. If you have any questions, concerns, or just want to let out some steam this is a great place to do it.
