cervical mucus

Hi everyone it's being a while since I have posted anything and I do hope everyone is keeping well.

My question today is has anyone heard of evening primrose helping to increase your cervical mucus, the reason for this question is that I have come to realize that my cervical mucus does not change to the clear, watery, stretchy one that looks like raw egg white so I decided to reach it and every website was talking about evening primrose.

I also believe that I maybe suffering from hostile cervical mucus not really sure but can anyone out there give some insight on my question.

Re: cervical mucus

Hey Beautiful, hope you have been well. I don't know much about the product or supplement you are referring to. But I do know that clomid affects CM in a negative way. So do keep that in mind if ever you are prescribed clomid. Good luck to you hun, and I hope that your BFP is coming soon!

Re: cervical mucus

Hi Beautiful

I have heard that Evening Primrose Oil can help with CM. Perhaps you could visit a health shop as I am sure that there are lots of other natural remedies out there which could be beneficial such as green tea.

Good luck!

Re: cervical mucus

Hi Beautiful,
I took EPO during this last cycle, along with Mucinex. I took clomid as well, and knew that it could affect CM. I have always had EWCM in the past and did this month as well, so I'm not sure if either made a difference. The thing with EPO is that you can only take it up until the point of ovulation. Not sure why. And with the Mucinex (or Robitussin) you can only take the kind with Guiafenesin (sp?) being the only ingrediant. Any kind with letters after like DM could dry up your CM, so I've heard. CM can be very confusing I think. This month it lasted 5 days for me. I have read that you have to continune to BD until the very last day you notice any CM or feeling of wetness because this will be your Peak day. Try explaining this to the DH.......
Also, I got my EPO tablets at GNC - not sure if you live by one or not. And the bottle was less than $20. Worth it if it helps.
Good luck - Baby Dust .
Amy

Re: cervical mucus

I too did the epo and mucinex while taking clomid. I personally never saw much of an improvement. So, I heard about (and tried), two other things. One is 'Preseed', which provides lubrication without harming sperm, but i don't know how much it enhances it. The other, and it's really strange and kinda gross, was raw egg whites. I read about it on a few different sites. You seperate the yolk from the white, draw the white up in about a 5cc syringe(no needle), and insert it in the vagina right before bd. I did it a few times, though it didn't result in pg. You might check up on it. Good luck to you!! Baby dust!!
