Re: Lovelygal

Yipeee yipeee yipeee, I know I am always welcomed here. Mapia, you brought tears to my eyes. I sneaked in those words in kari's thread just to go unoticed and now you make me bold with a new thread, what can I say but thanks for keeping each other so dear and warm. Remember I had methatroxate (see I can now easily pronounce that drug, a career in public health sure helps lol) back in september, I have been calling my RE for FET since I have 10 blasts frozen and each time, they give me one reason or the other, first they said I had to stay for 2 months, then next for three months, now for four months geezzz what is happening to me? My cousin's son who was concieved the first month I started ttc turned five last week and my sisters son who she had when I had a misccariage at 8.... weeks will be two in two months, another of my cousin, who got married last month at 19 called and said shes having a bad headache and I told her to take some tylenol, she said shes taken it but it won't stop, next I innocently said maybe you can try Ibuprofen or better still call your doctor. She replied and said "sorry I can't take Ibuprofen" why I asked, "because am pregnant she replied" wow, this is six weeks she got married and she is already five weeks gone. Am I really going forward or backward? I have added a wasted five years all this while, anyway, af showed right in class today and I silently muttered to it "welcome girl, you are right on time this month, what can I offer you? tissue, tampax, tampon, pantiliner or pad, the choice is yours lol)

Sorry not to ramble or rant but sometimes I feel my effort as a woman to be a mom is getting overboard without anything to look at. Mappia sweetie, lets hold on to that single dream and as you can see, there is a lot of pregnancy explosion on this board with twins for that matter, so soon its gonna get to us ok. How is DH? Is greece cold now, maryland is really getting cold now though still manageable.

Take care baby before I write a term paper.

Lovely

Re: Lovelygal

hi lovely- nice to meet you. i'm relatively new here, reading lots of posts and getting to know the girls on this board. They are so thoughtful and kind!! Just wondering why you are on methotrexate.....I was on that a few years ago to control my uveitis (eye disorder that causes inflammation inside the eye). It worked okay for me, but prednisone worked better to control my inflammation, although it does have some nasty side effects.

Just to introduce myself in the TTC world....DH and I have been trying to conceive for 2 1/2 yrs. He was just recently tested twice, low count (26 mil / 6 mil), motility and morphology. I had an HSG in early Nov, it looked fine. We have a first appt with RE 12/10 to see where we go from here. I have had uveitis since '98 and recently diagnosed with early stage MS in Sept '07.

So anyway, let me know if you want to about the metho, if not, it was nice to meet you!

Re: Lovelygal

Hi Lovely!!!!!!!!! Soooo good to hear from you!!! I saw your post on my thread, but for fear my reply might get buried there I wanted to respond here on Mapia's thread to you. I know you've posted occasionally, but it's really nice to get a good update on what's going on with you. You sound so busy with school.... very admirable my friend, that's great. I'd love to go back for my MBA one day, but jeesh I have friends who are getting their masters right now and the programs do not seem easy that's for sure! Well hopefully all that hard work is helping to keep you a bit distracted from the delay with your FET.

So I don't quite understand... are you actually still taking the meth??? Or are you just delayed from trying b/c the meth is still in your system? I thought it was just a couple shots and no more than 3 months at the most before you could try again. Well on a positive note, having 10 frosty blasts waiting for you has got to make you feel very good. I really look forward to supporting you through your FET, so please keep us posted when your RE says you are ready to move forward.

Don't get discouraged by all those around you getting pregnant... as frustrating as it is (believe me, I know), we are going to make great mothers and will have more patience and appreciation than any parent who hasn't experienced IF. Praying that it happens soon for us. BTW - your dialogue with AF just had me cracking up.... love your sense of humor girl! Don't be too much of a stranger, okay? (((hugs)))

Kari

Re: Lovelygal

Lovely, It's SOOOO good to read/hear from yoou again!! I"m so very proud of you for putting your best foot forward in school--- it's so very important, and often I wish I took school a bit more seriously. Your child will beblessed to have such a smart mommy to help with homework

I"m so sorry that you have to be surrounded by so many pregnant. Don't get me wrong, I would never wish IF on anyone, nor an I sorry they are pregnant-- but I'm sorry for you, because we know how it feels. Just know that your time IS coming and IF makes us all wonderful parents, so when you get those babies, you'll show the whole world what a wonderful mother and wife you are.

Don't stay away too long at a time, dearest!
