How many days post IUI are you? Are you taking any other meds, ie, to help support the pg? If so, you may or may not experience pg symptoms from the meds. Also did you take clomid or any other stims? if yes, that too can give similar pg symptoms.
You may notice some slight implantation spotting a few days post IUI but sometimes you may not notice anything. Breast tenderness is another one that could be pg and could be medication related. I know that it is really hard to not analyze every twinge and feeling. You can go on line and look for early pg symptoms, but everyone is different and some can "feel pg" right away and others don't. Is this your first IUI? Did your GYN or RE give you any guidance? How long until you can do a beta?
My gyn prescribed clomid for 5 days starting from 3rd day of my period, now I am taking Utrogestan and Folic acid. I get cramps, tender nipples and breasts, dizziness, I feel nauseas sometimes but as you said it could all be caused by the medicine. I had the IUI ten days ago (my first one, hopefully I won't go through that again); my gyn told me I should wait 2 - 3 weeks then phone him whether I had the period or not. I have regular periods so I will take a home pregnancy test if I am late.
I am wishing you lots of luck. The clomid may make you have those symptoms, it did for me anyway. Seems like the day after IUI, I had really tender breasts, had to wear a bra to bed even. Also, felt almost PMS like during the whole 2ww. it was so confusing b/c I wanted to analyze every twinge and of course I was extremely hopeful.
Remember that those home tests can give you a false negative, usually your HCG has to be pretty high for it to register a positive test and sometimes it is still too early. However, the beta blood test is the best (it can detect it much earlier). So, don't get discouraged if your HPT gives you bad luck, I say until the fat red lady sings there is always a chance.
Good luck sweetie and hope your BFP is right around the corner
I had a very depressing day yesterday, I had soem brown discharge with traces of blood, something I usually get right before the period. I am still waiting to see what is going to happen, but I don't believe I am pregnant anymore, I felt very sad, and I wanted to cry. I hope we will get luck next time, or may be there is still hope. I will keep you posted.
Thanks again.

Shereena welcome to the boards. I am sorry you had a bad day yesterday, I hope you are feeling better today? I agree with hopeful it is not over till the red ladies shows,
Shereena, I have just got my BFP, and I had brown spotting with a bit of red here and there I was worried that it was going to be AF but as it turns out it was implantation bleeding, so maybe you are expriencing the same. Good luck as long as AF does not show you still have a chance.
You don't know how much I appreciate your emails, I have no experience in that at all, and I totally freaked out when I had this discharge, I thought everything went to the drain, if we were just trying like any other month I would have been a little disappointed if I am not pregnant, but after going through the IUI and being on medication before and after and all the preparations and timing everything and sonars, I felt very depressed. I am still getting dark discharge, so nothing to do for me now but to wait; I will contact my doctor this week if I don't get my period and will see what will happen.
Shereena I am glad that I could help you a bit and offer you support. If you ever need encouragement or a place to let out your frustrations then we are here for you.
Has the bleeding got worse or is it still the same? If it does not get worse then the chances are good it is impantation bleeding.
you are sooooooooo sweet, Actually I am a bit positive now, I just get very dark discharge, no bleeding at all. I said I will wait a couple of days more and I will go and see my doctor.
I'm really for the best for you Shereena!! I can't wait to celebrate that BFP with you, dearest! I'm so glad yu're feelign positive, and you know, I'm feeling positive for you!!
Thank you PrincessSweetNS, I am overwhelmed of all the support I am getting from you ladies. Hopefully I will give hope to all women out there waiting for good news, and if not this time, may be next month or the month after.
I am trying to stay positive, I am getting cramps most of the day now, it is not so painful at night or early morning, it is strong during the day, I still get brown discharge, no blood, Thank God! and lower back pain from time to time, yet I am worried, I keep checking every five minutes, I always feel I am getting my period. I called my Dr. and he advised me to take a blood test on Saturday if there is no bleeding.
All I can do is pray, anyways, Saturday is not far away.
Shereena your bleeding sound like it is implantation bleeding and not AF.I also had a few cramps and I thought AF was going to show. As long as you are not bleeding there is a chance of getting your BFP. Good luck for your b/w on Saturday. I am sure AF is going to stay far away.
Oh my gosh Shereena, that sounds so promising!! I'm so hoping it's a BFP!!!! Please please please keep us posted. I can't post all the time because work has been very demanding lately, but I'm always thinking about my girls, and that definitely includes you!!!
Hi ladies
This is my first post on this site, I had my first iui 10 days ago and since have had 2 shots of Pregnyl. The past few days I have had cramps, backache, sore boobs, feeling moody and very emotional. I haven't had any spotting and don't think I feel pregnant. I was told to do a test 18 days after iui, but I am dying to test but am too scared I know I will be upset if its negative. Would really appreciate some advice I feel lonely as none of my family and friends know I am having treatment. I do talk to my husband but he can't understand everything, please help.
I'm sorry that you're feeling so anxious. I'm in the 2ww of an IVF cycle, and I can definitely relate!!! I'm so nervous about going in for the b/w!! I've found that it's best not to look into any signs. The meds will do crazy things to our bodies. I had sore boobs before the embryos were even transferred back into me. Then there is also the fact that many women don't experience any signs at all this early. Just try to take it a day at a time & feel free to stop in here & vent any time you need to. That's what we're here for. Wishing you all the best!! I hope this cycle brings your bfp!
