I had my embryo transfer 3 days ago (blastocyst transfer). Since day 1 after the transfer, I have just been feeling extra tired. It feels as though I am getting my period - I'm very crampy. I had a blood test yesterday to check my estrogen and progesterone levels - they were good. When should I expect implantation to take place? Also, is it normal to feel the period like cramps?

Hi & welcome to the board. You should find lots of support & info here.
Implantation typically takes place within 48 hours of a 5 day transfer. Cramps are very normal. Try not to get discouraged if you think your period is coming. A lot of the signs can go either way. As hard as it is to wait, that's really all you can do. And try to stay positive. It really does help.
I wish you lots of luck. I hope you get your bfp this cycle!
HI! I am 4 days post a 3day transfer and I'm exhausted!! I don't know if it's a possible pregnancy, the progesterone, or chasing after my 15 month old (who was my '06 IVF miracle) or perhaps its a combination of all 3!. I've been told that the embryo can implant from 24-48 hours post transfer regardless if it's day 3 or day 5. I'm not quite sure! But, I am also getting all kinds of cramping, some are short and like a sticking pain, others are longer and more like period cramps, but I think both are normal. If this was a fresh transfer for you, remember that your body went though a LOT through the stim so you're still getting settled down there. Also, if you're on progesterone, there's "aggravation" (or so it is described) to the cervix to get ready for pregnancy...so lots of things are going on at once. Let's keep in touch with eachother...this 2ww is a crazy time!!
When is your beta? Mine is the 22nd. Good luck!

Welcome! The cramps that you are experiencing really good be a dozen different things. As much as you'll be told to try and not worry about it I'm sure you still will. Just try and not obsessively worry about it. Spotting could be implantation bleeding or once again...a dozen different things. Take a deep breathe and take one day at a time.
abergsma, I was wondering how you're holding up. I almost took an hpt this morning but I held out. I think I will test on Wednesday...that will be 12dp3dt. I've heard of women getting faint positives today (12dp retreivals) but I didn't want to be disappointed if I didn't get any faint line...I'm starting to get bouts of nausia at night and this weird inner shakiness/lightheadness like my blood pressure dips too low or something during the afternoons. And of course, I'm exhausted. I don't know how much of this is the progesterone but I don't remember feeling like this during my last 2 transfers! I do remember feeling like this in the beginning and end of my last pregnancy though! So, I'm thinking if I am pregnant, maybe it's multiples to feel something so early! Or, maybe it's a combination of the estrogen (patches) and progesterone...I've never been on both at the same time.
How are you feeling? Keep me posted! And, when is your blood test? Will you take an hpt?
I am 9 days post embryo transfer - I took 4 hpt this morning and all was positive. Also went for my beta testing and am just waiting for the results to confirm the pregnancy. I am so happy that I am crying. This is the best day ever.
thats great. i had my second beta today - came back at 196. I have my first sono next friday. I'm at reproductive specialists of ny. my doc got 3 of my friend preggie with in vitro too. I'm just still ecstatic. I can't wipe the smile from my face.
