Honestly, I think you should go ahead and have the test done, even though it may seem unnecessary. You can miscarry an ectopic pregnancy just like a uterine pregnancy, so unless you had an ultrasound before you miscarried confirming that your pregnancy(s) was uterine you really can't rule out a tube blockage. It's also possible to have one good tube and one blocked one, meaning you could have a uterine pregnancy one time and an ectopic another. I think it's best to know EXACTLY what you're dealing with whenever possible, and your doc probably feels this way too.
