Question about meds - Infertility Message Board

I'm still on BCP's but I'v recieved my plan and an trying to psych myself out about the shots! I'v read most of ya'll only take one shot of Gonal-F a day. In my plan, I am having to take (along with the Lupron)2 shots of the Gonal-F, one in the A.M and one in the P.M. Is anyone else having to do this, or am I just lucky? LOL

Hmmm. Everything I've read on Gonal F says one shot. Did he say why you were doing two?

The nurse called today and I asked her why I was taking 2 shots. The most dreaded words came out of her mouth "YOUR AGE" LOL! I am 37. I guess they just want to make sure. I already feel like a voo-doo doll and I haven't even started the shots!

sunny! How funny! Me too !!
I am taking 2 amps of gonal f starting in may! 2 amps in one shot at night.. I am 38! so that is why!!
I feel so old now!!! At my age!!!!
Why are u taking the shot twice a day>> did he mean two amps per shot>> I am only sticking myself once a night!! day3 and on!!!good luck!! baby dust!!!!!A

Ouch- sorry! That stinks that they said that to you.

I recently referred a co-worker of mine to Dr Silverberg, and his advice to her is so much different than his advice to me- I'm assuming because of the age difference.
