low sperm count first day...2nd IUI attempt - Infertility Message Board

I have started my second IUI today and was surprised when they told me my husbands count was 7 mil with 81% motility, with a 3 day abstinence period. Last month we forgot about the abstinence period and yet it was 85 mill and 95% motility. I am the one with "hormonal problems" he has been given the all clear by 2 different doctors... help!!!

wow - that is quite a jump! Has he been in a hot tub lately or anything? That can kill off some spermies.

I'm glad the count ended up in the millions though - that is still great!

He has not been in a hot tub and he even wears boxers! =)

Do you know if the low counts might have anything to do with too much stimulation coupled with abstenince?
