Lap and IUI - Infertility Message Board

HI! I am going to the doctor on Wednesday to discuss a new plan for me, since Clomid and femara have not worked. Anyway, he had mentioned before doing a lap, and also mentioned IUI as a good option for those with PCOS. So, is it possible to do the lap early in the cycle and still do IUI the same cycl? I just don't want to waste a cycle- but feel I need to try both!! Any suggestions????

hmmmmm, I am not sure how to answer that question. I know they want you to rest after the lap and your internal organs are blown up by the gas they inject so I would venture to say that they would probably wait a cycle but you never know. Plus if you have endo they usually laser it off and I would guess that it would also have to heal. But good luck and you can always try a natural cycle after the lap. It has been known to work.
