FSH Level after Clomid Challenge Test - Infertility Message Board

Ok, CD3 my FSH was 10.2, E2 was 46. On CD 10 my FSH was 11.4. ***!!!!! I don't see my RE until Sunday. (I have an U/S to see if the Clomid I was on produced a follie) I am feeling more like I have an egg quality / quantity issue. I will find out more on Sunday. What a way to begin a weekend.

I sure hope I am a candiate for IVF. I am thinking egg donor is in my future.

Anyone here have high FSH with a successful pregnancy? I also want the not so good info as well.

Hi MaryAnn,

Don't lose hope! I had an extremely high FSH for a long time. It was the majority of the reason that I walked away from doing any more infertility workups, etc. I didn't find much helpful information but what I did find was promising and has most possibly paid off (I'm currently 8 weeks pregnant). Wheat Grass is good for lowering FSH levels. There was another one too, but I can't think of it off hand. I want to say Alfalfa.

Thanks for the reply, tell me... what was your FSH levels?, how old are ya girl? How did you conceive? IVF, Natural, IUI??? What meds did u take? Sorry all the ?'s I'm just a bit nervous. Congrats of the 8 weeks! I've been reading your posts and I'm sooooo happy for you. XOXO Mar

I was only 28 at the time. I honestly don't remember what my FSH was but I know that one RE said it was extremely high and then within about 3 months I had changed RE's and then that one also said that it was too high. They never did rule out the possibility of IVF donor egg but they did tell me that it was definitely a sign of low ovarian reserve and/or poor egg quality. When I got that news I was just depressed. THERE IS HOPE though!

I actually ended up conceiving naturally. It took us 12 years, but we did it! YOU CAN DO IT! Oh geesh, you know what I think of when I write and read that? Remember the movie Waterboy? At the end when the rednecks are screaming that? LOL

Let me see if I can find my medical records and I'll post my FSH levels each time.

Me again!

I just looked......your FSH at 11 is not bad. I show in my records that anything below 13 is good. Mine was registering around 14-20 in various draws. My major problems were my Estrogen. Those were coming in at 946!!!!!!! Very bad. (Normal is 0-54)
