I had my HSG today and I just got home so I have to cook dinner for DH and then I will read everyone's post for the day and respond. I will share my delightful story real quick!

This is my 2nd HSG and the first one was cake and I didn't take any advil before that one so I go today thinking "no problem" I take my 800 mg of advil and show up at the RE's office. They whisk me in and they take me into the room and I take off my pants and they strap my legs into stirrups. So my feet are dangling and there are velcro straps holding my legs in. I am spread eagled with that little paper napkin draped over me and the nurse says the dr. will be right in. I say well this is a hell of a position to meet him and laugh. She is like OMG- I am sorry do you want to sit up. I said no, I am used to this position by now so she takes her hand and shoves the paper place mat down further so when he comes in he isn't staring at my you-know-what!! He comes in and says hello and sits down and puts the speculum in and then he is moving around down there and talking to the nurse and I am holding my breath waiting for the cramp. All of the sudden he says, I am sorry but I have to numb you a little bit (I think he was having problems with the catheter!) so now I start thinking real quick-I hope he means a q-tip with numbing gel. Nope, he pulls out this big a** needle and sticks it inside my vagina and gives me three injections!!!!!!!!! I think I went into shock because I swear I didn't feel anything and you know how I am with needles. Nothing!!! (of course I told dh I felt it) then he injects the dye and I get 3 big cramps and it is over! He said everything looks good so looks like I will cycle in July. I Say to him, can you please call my DH who complained this am that he had 3 vials of blood taken and tell him what I just went through. He laughs and says you deserve jewels for what I just did to you!! I thank him and tell him that I could have used that $1000 I just spent on some other things and he laughed again. the doc and the nurse were really great and I feel so comfortable with them. He leaves and she gives me this big old pad for the bleeding. I grab my underwear (leopard thongs) and
just show them to her and we laugh and she says do the best you can. So I survived yet another traumatic experience!! I definitely know now that God does have a sense of humor and is testing me to the limits!! Have to go now. Will be on as soon as DH falls asleep!!
