I think m/c is the only thing harder than not conceiving. If your friend is not getting answers or the doctor is not doing things different in response to the previous m/cs, then she should definately get another opinion. I'm not sure if the RE is the person she should talk to or not. Maybe she should see a high risk OB. I doesn't hurt for her to call an REs office, explain her situation and ask who the appropriate person to see would be.
I have fibroids (either 1 or 2 depending on which doc I see). The docs say that if they are in the wall or if they cause pain, then they remove them, otherwise they leave them alone. The docs did tell me during one month that they might affect implantation and they were interfering with my lining. The next month, the doc said they weren't a concern. So I don't know. I go to a practice that has 4 docs. I see whoever is on duty the day I go in for my scheduled days. Then I have one primary case manager doctor. It was my case magager doctor that told me not to worry.
Sorry I rambled with little advice. But, if your friend hasn't had a 2nd opinion, advise her she should get one. She doesn't have to change doctors (if she likes the one she has). But it would be good if she listened to what another one has to say.
