What's going on? - Infertility Message Board

Hello
Ok... here's my situation.
AF is 5 days late...I have taken 3 HPT's and all have been negative. I took clomid this cycle days 3-7, estradiol days 8-12 and am currently using a progestrone gel.
Anyone think I could be pregnant? I don't understand why AF is soooooo late! I am going for a blood test Friday.
Thanks everyone... this waiting is sooooooooo hard!

Hiya GOOOD! Never done Prog before but from what eyes understand, the prog is why AF aint showing...Maybe, some 1 back me up here, but I thinks after you stop PROG gel, AF comes..Am I right anyone? ANYWAYS Goood Luck GOOOOOOOOOD!

You're right as far as I know. A lot of times, the progesterone will keep af at bay altogether or at least make her show up late.

Yeah, it's one last joke on us - the progesterone seems to suspend AF for some people. During my 3 clomid cycles, I got 3 BFNs and AF was late. AF didn't come til I reduced or stopped my progesterone -- but talk to you doctor before you do!

I hope I'm wrong -- but if not, the sooner AF starts, the sooner you can try again!

Thanks for the info.

I asked my doctor if it was the progestrone gel keeping AF away and she said no. (I thought it could though) So who KNOWS! I had my progestrone level checked on Day 23 and it was 48. So since it is so high...maybe I can stop using the gel?
I'll ask the doctor tomorrow if my pregnancy test comes back negative.
