Had 2nd IUI now in 2ww anyone else? - Infertility Message Board

I had my 2nd IUI yesterday now I am in that horrible 2ww. Yesterday I had so much pain it was awful I was ovulating and it hurt so much. I had 2 big follicles on each side and several small ones. My RE said that we had an excellent stimulation this cycle and that he feels that this may be the one. I am keeping everything crossed for a BFP this time. I am off work again this week so I can get plenty of rest and maybe it will work. I can test on July 21st. That seems like so long to wait. Well just wanted to update everyone and check in.

Good luck Kelly!
I'm not in the 2WW but I know the agony of waiting! Best of luck - drink lots of fluids (gatorade/powerade) and don't take any Advil or Motrin (Tylenol's ok) - that was my REs recommendation.

Hi Kelly,

I'm doing the 2ww with you. Two big follicles on each side? That's great!!!

I had my 6th IUI on July 2nd. I did 4 amps of Follistim for 9 days and ended up with one follicle. Thank God all ya need is one right?

As you can see by the recent posts, July seems to be a lucky month so try to relax and stay positive. I'll say a prayer that you see a BFP on the 21st!

I’m right there with you guys. I had my 1st IUI yesterday after testing positive on OPK. My RE didn’t really tell me much other than to call her in 2 weeks. I feel like they/I should be doing more. Is it standard procedure for them to check if you have good follicles? I can already tell that this will be a long 2ww... but at least I won’t have to wait alone. Good luck and lots of baby dust to all of us!

Refresh me-what type of meds, if any were you taking CPA? Usually, if you are taking any kind of meds, the RE does some lab work and/or u/s before doing the IUI and some labs to follow your progress in the 2ww. I always had a progesterone the week after the IUI and then the following week, was supposed to have progesterone and beta, but only once in 6 cycles did I ever make it to get a beta done-AF always came early. Kind of ironic, since I can go up to 40 days on my own before she comes.
