I just met an angel!! - Infertility Message Board

Well ladies..
I just had to tell you that a few days ago i met an angel. It's just so unreal how supportive we ladies can be of one another, but last Saturday I personally met an extraordinary woman at the fertility clinic. I travel 3 1/2 hours to go to my clinic to be there for 7:30am. When she found that out, she offered me her home to stay in while I am in treatment. Isn't that unbelievable?? She doesn't even know me. It's amazing how going through something similar can really bring people together. She's having 2 IUI's (today and tomorrow), and she's headed out of town...leaving me to stay in her home alone until Wednesday.
What an angel.

I'll be doing lots of praying for her.

That's extraordinary! And yet, ideally, that's how we all SHOULD be to our friends (or strangers) in need. Isn't it?

Let's pay it forward, Rose. And even though I'm not the recipient of that woman's good deed, I will keep her in mind next time I see someone who needs a hand.

Now, just don't break anything!

That is so nice, I have never heard of someone doing something like that, you really DID meet an Angel! Take it as a sign...we should all "pay it forward" It is too bad that we all aren't like that! What a truly selfless gesture!

That's a great story to hear in this day and age. You are lucky to have found someone like that Rose. Another helpful gesture, that many of us can 'pay forward' to our fellow ttc'ers is the donation of leftover meds. When you either get that BFP, or when you've decided to stop your treatment, donate your leftover vials to your RE for someone who doesn't have insurance to pay for the meds on their own. They appreciate it lots, and maybe if you are someone who has trouble meeting the expense of meds because of poor insurance coverage, inquire at your RE's office, and some 'angel' might have already donated. I did this when I got my BFP with DD and again when I stopped treatment after 6 failed IUI's last year. I know someone somewhere was able to benefit.
