IVF DELAY?? SIZE 19 FOLLIE ON DAY 21?? - Infertility Message Board

Re-cap of history: Clomid 4 times. 3 IUI's no success. This past cycle I have been on NO medicine not even on BC (they make me sick).. and am getting prepared to start IVF injections. I went in for day 21 U/S today. They were surprised to see a follie size 19 on RH side. Nurse said I may not be able to start Lupron if I have not ovulated this... =(
Any one have any advise or similar circumstances?

Hi, Is it possible that they'll just delay giving you the lupron for a few days until after you ovulate? Do you usually have irregular cycles or delayed ovulations?

It sounds like you're on a protocol similar to what I'll be doing soon. Lupron on day 21 and IVF the following month.
I asked the nurse what would happen if I hadn't ovulated by day 21 (because I have irregular cycles due to PCOS) and she said they would just wait to give me the lupron.
