Hi, I have just started acupuncture this cylce. I have read/heard great things about Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for infertility and it is way more affordable than ART, which I have come to think of as often nothing more than the western medical community making a big buck off a bunch of desperate women. Forgive me, but that is exactly how I feel. My friend has achieved two pregnancies with the help of acupuncture after age 40. My acupunturist is a Chinese woman who was a ob-gyn in China for 12 years. She treats me like a human being, as opposed to the doctors of western medicine I have dealt with, who act like they never have time for me, take my money anyhow, and provide me with zero support or help. I interviewed 3 acupunturists before chosing one. Fees really varied and all 3 had different ways they would treat me. I chose the person I was most comfortable with and whose plan I liked the best. I take chinese herbs - different ones at different points of my cycle - and I feel very relaxed after a treatment (the needles stay in about an hour), so if nothing else, at least my nerves are being calmed. My AF is due in 2 days, if I don't get it and I end up PG (after 2 miserable years of ttc) I will swear it was the acupuncture. Go for it - Sara
