Question a little confused about blood work and period

Ok so I know I may sound silly but I just want to make sure I do things right. I have to go and get blood work done on the third day of my period. I took provera for ten days (yesterday was the tenth day) today I have some light blood on the tp when i wipe but thats it. I feel a little crampy as well. My question is, is this the first day of my period or is the first day when i really start to flow?

Re: a little confused about blood work and period

Your day one is the first day of full flow, not of spotting. Usually the REs do blood work on day 2 or 3, or even 4. Your flow may be lighter this time around as you were on provera. So keep that in mind. It may also be helpful to know your own symptoms, such as cramping, headaches, etc that you know you always get on day one.
