Well, when I had a transfer on day 5, I had a blood test exactly 9 days later. Actually with most of my transfers whether they were on day 3 or day 5, I had my tests exactly 14 days after my retrieval. At that point, my RE said it was good for the beta number to be around 50 which means it "should" potentially show up on an hpt. Since you're test is scheduled 8 days after your 6 day transfer, (also 14 days later) I wouldn't test until that morning if anything at all...you will most likely get a negative until just about that date. Even with my 5 day transfer (which I didn't POAS) my number was only a 28 which most likely wouldn't have shown up on most tests. It turned out I had a late implanter but she developed normally and the number continued to more than double and catch up. The only way it would show up this early is if it was possibly multiples. With my twins, my number came back at 677! I would wait it out...as hard as that may be. Good luck!!
