YES!! I have had success with ICSI on day 3!!

In the past 3 years, I've done 3 fresh IVF and 3 frozen cycles and all 6 times were with ICSI. My very first transfer was on day 3 and it was a BFN. My next one was frozen (with day 6 blasts) and that too was a BFN. My next was a day 5 fresh transfer that gave me a BFP and my daughter!

These cycles were with a clinic where the REs were more in favor of day 5 transfers just like yours. They also
ONLY froze on day 5. Although it is true that many do not survive the 5 days in the lab, (I had 3 out of 7 that made it and only 2 were "blasts" and 1 was a pre-blast that never made it to freeze), there is still hope for them.
Then, 2 years later we went to a new clinic where they were much more in favor of day 3 transfers and also froze on day 3. I did one fresh cycle with day 3 embryos and got a BFP but then lost it right away. But I was able to freeze 9 on day 3. Then I did a frozen cycle, got a BFN and then another and got a BFP! I am now pregnant with twins from day 3 frozen embryos and due any day.
My RE told me once that it doesn't matter whether it is a day 3 transfer or day 5 transfer, frozen embryos or fresh, if they are meant to become your little miracles, then it will happen. Since I have had success with day 3 and day 5, frozen and fresh, I whole-heartedly agree!!

I think you should be optimistic and excited! IVF is hard enough to go through then to obsess heavily on the negative statistics and doubts. There is always hope and really, anything can happen. Your stats can be very different from others due to your unique infertility situation and your body (which also includes the stats of your age, your health, etc.) Stay positive and good luck!!
